OdysseyNRG Partners Ltd. Announces Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Suriname and N.V. Grassalco for Exclusive Waste Remediation and Resource Recovery Program

OdysseyNRG Partners Ltd. is thrilled to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Government of Suriname, marking a significant step toward a strategic and exclusive partnership for a comprehensive waste remediation and resource recovery program. This initiative, to be formalized through an Exclusivity Contract, grants OdysseyNRG Partners Ltd. exclusive rights to manage all remediation project opportunities within Suriname, focusing on sustainable solutions for historical oil, mining, mercury, and bauxite waste, particularly red mud.

This landmark agreement aims to address Suriname’s environmental challenges while fostering economic growth, community development, and global leadership in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices. By leveraging advanced technologies, the program targets the remediation of an estimated 90 million metric tons of red mud and 60 metric tonnes of annual mercury use in artisanal gold mining.

The program includes a robust royalty program to ensure equitable economic benefits for indigenous communities and the government, alongside social development projects such as schools, medical centers, and digital education initiatives. Infrastructure investments will prioritize renewable energy, water management, and safe waste containment, with no direct government investment required, ensuring fiscal responsibility.
